Damn computers are going to be the death of me i swear evil

might have to reformat the hdd AGAIN Twisted Evil

Might loose a lot of photos like the ones from my kids first communion last week evil

no idea when i will get that pc back up and folding again so my numbers will suck for a while prbly.

Today after a virus scan, i had to do a reboot (unrelated issue) and it wouldnt let me reboot to windows desktop. The mbr was fubar so I was NOT able to get to desktop to get my photos.

Took it to the local computer guy (who is shutting down today for good btw), he was able to fix the issue without having to re install windows.

He did what I couldnt do here - he was able to pull the drive and hook it up to cables to read it by connecting to another computer so he could grab the files I HAD TO SAVE! and he was able to do so, i couldnt do that here.

Im back up and running but there still seems to be issues but hopefully i can manage now.

Told the wife today (who is having issues with an older laptop with the optical drive not working), that if we replace it we are getting a mac. I *really* hate to do that but they get hit with a lot less crap than windoz systems.
