MS Outlook 2003 Annoyances:

I recently had to reinstall MS Outlook 2003 on my laptop, which runs under Win XP Pro.

1. Outlook 2003 now automatically opens in the “Personal Folders – Outlook Today.” How can I have it open directly into the “Inbox” instead?

2. When in “Inbox,” I’d like to see the “Send/Receive” button displayed in a toolbar again. [I do see the “Send” button in the “Untitled Message” screen when creating a new message.]

click on 'mailbox - shamrock' or whatever your root is.

click on "customize outlook today"

uncheck "when starting, go directly to Outlook Today"




view, toolbars, customize

commands tabs, tools categorie.

drag send/receive to where you want it.
