I dread to think what the singers actually sound like, then. I find Auto-Tune to be hard enough on the ears. It has a quality I can only describe as "metallic", although I'm sure there's a better description out there.

For some more Auto-Tune masterpieces, just check out every album ever produced by Robert "Mutt" Lange. Albums by Def Leppard, Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, and more. They all sound identical.

Yo, T, I respect you and I'ma let you finish, but Auto-Tune is a lyrical Muthafukken genius.

I call it "Sterilized vocal synthesis"

I like it when it is used to create comedy, like making Katie Couric "sing" the news with a repetitive reverb.

As a musical genré, no talent whatsoever is required, so anyone who makes one could become famous.
