It would of been interesting to see the temps you got with the "Hershey's Kiss" compound ... one would guess at idle the Artic Silver was better ... maybe one CPU just idles a bit warmer ... then again, maybe one CPU runs warmer than the other under load too ... anyway, I got enough Artic Silver ... should last awhile Question Big Smile Confused:

Yes I thought the same thing. One CPU might run differently(hotter) than the other. That is why I put Quicksilver on CPU1 since Idle I would expect the system to use it more than the other. As for under load both SETI clients ran at ~49% of total system resources which means they were perfectly divided between the two processors. What CPU did the system use probably CPU1 but I couldn't be sure.

Good review, Rover.

Since both products are about the same price and size, I will stick with the Artic Silver.

Either product are a real byatch to get here in Canada, so it is nice to know that which ever one I can get is just as good as the other. I had never seen a goop review on a dual cpu setup before, but what a good idea.

My thought's exactly. I had never seen it done on a dual system either. Plus it was easier than installing one goop, testing, deinstalling the goop to install a different goop and then do more testing. Plus it gave me a chance to clean my CPUs and HSF with a toothbrush and degreaser. There's just something funny about putting your CPUs under running water and the reinstalling them.
