I'm about implementing a network management solution, using SNMP, and NetFlow.

SNMP and NetFlow collectors don't have to be integrated in one solution. I'm happy to have separate software doing each one of them. So all-in-1 software is no advantage to me.

I need a scalable, easy to setup and customize (writing plugins for) software. Prefarebly not using Java like OpenNMS. Something that's not too much Linuxish (since i prefere fbsd, but I'm ok to give up the linux thing).

I would be thankful if you tell me:
- best open source SNMP or Netflow software
- best closed source SNMP or NetFlow

[edit] note: "best" in relation to your preference that meets my few requirements above, or at least some of them.
