I did come out ahead though. We usually don't buy insurance for trips but this tyme my health has not been at it's best so we did. Insurance paid at 150% for the missed portion of the trip plus all the medical bills. So trip wasn't a loss plus everyone said I would not have liked the Amazon jungle part VERY HOT and HUMID........no thank you Very Happy

Sir D - I love your attitude! Being sick on a trip is the absolute pits. I am glad you avoided the hot and humid part when you couldn't breathe - gah - what a nightmare that would have been.

SD. what a wonderful way to have shared the trip.....
I can't imagine handling Machu Pichu (from what I have heard from friends) after asthmatic bronchitis laid you low.
As I have told you, I am content to travel from now to my personal apocalypse from the comfort of my office chair, in front of my computer or TV. I will only miss the smells, when they are floral or pure and clean (and being clawed at for money in many places by hungry children).
