Dual monitor setup - it's sweet but why do I need/want it?

at work I have a ... interesting setup.....

two laptops, one that travels with me... one tha tis locked in place...

the one that travels drops into the dock, it is hooked up to a 17" lcd. next to that is the 17" CRT that is hooked up to the perminate laptop, next to that is the open lid of the permant laptop, 15" lcd.

the resoltions are the same on the first LCD and the CRT the laptop screen runs slightly lower.

I user the portable laptop as my "test machine" which means work, play, everything not directly related to my job requirements, goes through that system... programming and the like. (I work hell desk) all of my password reset (black berry manger, goodlink console, AD, call tracking software, asset tracking softare, ect...) is on the CRT, the last 15" lcd has 3 things on it, my phone software (we route calls through software on the PC's) my Queue monitoring screen (see who is on a call where and how long, because I'm supposed to help them if they get stuck/confused... and our chat room at work (and some times on #lwd through a SSH proxy.

I use win2vnc to hook up the two systems, so I can use one mouse/keyboard across them...

I also have one system setup to switch to devorak when I press ctrl+shift at the same time (test/beta/programming machine) though I rarely get time to practice my devorak.
