I didn't even know v8 was out.
A while back I did a Remington (well, not quite) and ponied up cash for an AVG license. I just assumed that the program would let me know of any updates (read: opportunities to screw more cash out of me) automatically.
Seems a bit odd that Grisoft would let the freeloaders (those who, historically, won't pay for anything) know about opportunities to spend money, but won't let the paying customers (those who, historically, are likely to keep paying) know.
Ah well. |

Ah, good ol' MS Windows 200. An order of magnitude better than MS Windows 2000, as I recall. Them were the days. |

So how long before support fer 7.5 stops?
How many of you will switch over to a yearly paid subscription?
Have any of you tried the other freebies out there? Are you gonna switch to those instead?
I'm looking at Comodo's free offerings since I use their free firewall. |

Yup, I use Comodo's AV and firewall on my wife's PC. (just the firewall on mine). It seems to do a good job, but I've trained her pretty well concerning viruses, so she may not be the best test case. |
