In my HP Media Center XP Edition computer I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (26xxx) It reads analog and I just converted to Verizon.net for cable and Internet and I will need digital capability soon. But my real problem is that Verizon has a proprietary Guide. I had cards (My other computer has an ATI T200 Unified AVStream Driver and it isn't streaming properly at all with the new cable probably due to not enough RAM).

I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder attached to one of my computers. I was told by Panasonic and that I need an IR Blaster for it (which I ordered from them). When I get it I have to call their tech support to get an 'escalation' meaning that they will then have to go through some process to enable me to get the TV Guide the Panasonic needs to be able to schedule a timed recording to the hard drive in the DVD recorder.

I write all this because I assume I might have a similar problem with a video card which also downloads the TV Guide which it correlates to Verizon. At this time, Verizon doesn't even show on the menu, though it shows RCN and Comcast.

If anyone can steer me towards something that might work I will be grateful. The HP has an AMD Athlon(Im) 64x2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, 219 GHz. 1.93 GB RAM

Both computers are XP systems

The second computer is Home Edition XP , 1.09 GHz amd has only 1 GB of Ram though I can always add RAM. I just haven't needed it to date on that computer.

If anyone can advise me, I'd be really grateful.

It sounds as if you are looking for a QAM digital tuner card. I'll see what we can Google up.

I know that TiVo does not support program guides for TiVoHD's native ability to pick up QAM digital channels because they are supporting the cable companies' current efforts to double-charge us for the digital signals that they provide.

JAE, you must remember that you are talking to an almost hardware illiterate. First, let me say thank you for the quick response. Wow! Secondly, when I looked the first on eup it looked like it was for Linux. I am still in the dark ages with the PC.

taz will be up here this weekend and i will have him look at the specs you came up with and maybe we can find out where to get one to try out before i even think about the second computer. I know I will have to add another gig of Ram before much will work on that with digital and all.
