Bam and I have been chatting lately and I was looking for the RoadMaster Active Suspension... I ordered a set for the Van I got for free...and also a set for my Dakota pickup.

This set is the Van's XXFF "heavy duty" set. (Bam asked for pictures) We're going to compare the spring size with the XFF set I'm getting (tomorrow?) Smile

Is that like a helper spring for the leaf springs?

Yes. I got the other set for my Dakota, the XFF version. It looks the same to me...but I haven't had them side by side yet.

I'll not get to that until Saturday.

Actually a little bit more than helper springs. It's an active suspension fer leaf springs.

They work like helper springs but in an active state. They also work like anti-sway bars, lift springs, and height adjustments. They are really a good thing to add if you carry anything in yer truck except air... Wink SmileBig Smile

I'm going to install them into my truck Saturday. Don't know when I'll do the vans.

I'll have to post piccies of them side by side so we can compare and contrast. I guess I'll have to find a ruler, too.

For only $90 shipped on eBay for the latest generation...not a bad deal!

So I found a hang up in the RM's.... the XFF kit I had didn't fit my Dodge Dakota, and RM was pretty adamant they had to send me a whole new kit. I just wanted the new rear shackle attachment that it really needed.

Got the new kit, compared to what I had..there were subtle differences in the part that goes under the u-bolts on the leaf spring, and the rear shackle part was obvisouly different.

Overall, it raised the rear of my truck a good 2.5". I adjusted the front ride height with the torsion bars to bring it back to a "normal" stance.

The ride did change. It's stiffer, it doesn't lean over in corners. I haven't had a trailer or a load..but, I'm sure it will make a difference as the rear is effectively pushed up by the RM's springs.

Next time I tow a honda on a car dolley, I'll update Smile

but...if anyone wants an XFF roadmaster kit, let me know.. I have one for sale..only $175 shipped!
