I don't get a rebate this year.

In fact, the taxman claims I owe a massive £15 in unpaid taxes.

However will I manage to pay it all off?

I recommend a pub crawl, where a £1 is declared paid at each venue over a relatively short, consecutive period of time.

Ya bastard. I have outstanding "voluntary" contributions of £360.15. On the up side I have until 5th April 2012 to pay. I plan on being rich by then.

Well, the wife will continue to rack up law school loans for another year, but past that I don't expect to rack up a lot of "casual" debt - right now we have student loan and mortgage debt, and that's it. Everything else we have paid off or paid cash for.

I'd like it to be a new tv...sadly it will likely be a deposit on an apartment.

Once my credit cards are paid off, the only time they will be used is if they are at 0%apr or if the entire bill will be paid in full before any interest is assessed (This way the cards still have an active payment history and continue to establish/reinforce my personal credit).

For major purchases (House, Cars or etc) then yes, I may still utilize credit here...but I will do my best not to.

I think the idea behind this rebate is for people to spend it. Putting it into a savings account, paying down debt or some other responsible purpose nullifies the impact on our economy that this is supposed to have. You are supposed to spend it irresponsibly on goods or services. So go be good little consumer and plonk it down on a new HDTV, computer, video game, camera, materials for home improvement etc. How about some chrome wheels for your ride, a new roof for your house or maybe some plane tickets to East Freepingham to visit your inlaws? GW says that this will fix our economy and prevent terrorism, so by golly go out and buy that new Louis Vuitton handbag or that deluxe George Foreman Mean Lean Fat Grillin' Machine. But for god's sake don't blow it on your credit card bills, debt or (heaven forbid) your savings account!

Well it's getting spent. Luckily I don't have any debt to speak of (beside mortage payment). Most likely it's getting spent on school for the wife though.
