I like this one better:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115458
$200 less and has more ram, better video, and more hard drive space with a better CPU
plus, I don't know anyone who has ever owned a sony laptop that didn't have major issues with them. |

I have had good Sonys and bad ones. Currently though I am off of Sony, they are evil, and their laptops are sexy but full of issues, and they change features incredibly fast, and they won't publish their function key interfaces for Linux developers to use. So I think anything else is probably better. |

its Sony VAIO VGN-CR220E / R 14.1 inch Core 2 Duo 2GHz / 2GB / 200GB / DVDRW / WVHP Notebook Computer

The power (CPU, Memory, HD) is good, but the brand name and the price aren't.
I am still against Sony products for the issues they caused consumers awhile back.
Additionally, you can get an equivalent if not better Dell Inspiron for at least $300 less. Maybe more savings if you go with a Dell Outlet laptopn (Scratch and Dent, canceled Orders, or Refurbished machines (I.E. Shipped to buyer, but returned within the required timeframe). |
