Ok, maybe I'm missing something here... I don't know. All I heard for months was how awesomely uber badass spectacular this game was. So I went and rented it over the weekend.

Good lord, I've never had a game bore the hell out of me as much as this one does. It looks amazing, I'll grant you that, but as far as gameplay goes... snorefest.

I literally played it for about 2 hours before I ever got the chance to actually kill anyone. And what's with some of the random BS where they pull you out of the memories and just let you wander around the room for 10 minutes to "Stretch your legs". Is that really necessary? I had a friend over at the house that also wanted to check it out, and he actually fell asleep because of all the jaw flapping that goes on. At least give me an option to skip that crap.

The time you spend outside of the Matrix (or whatever the heck it's called; I can't remember) is more to advance the story and set up for the sequel, which it doesn't really start doing until maybe halfway through the game.

You can get some interesting info from the computer terminals if you're able to unlock them, though.
