I dislike advertising, but I've reached a point where I really have no choice but to do so, to try and help benefit the server. I do this with Ed's permission.

I play on a private (free) World of Warcraft server, actually I'm a GM (Game Master) there. The server is more or less brand new, it launched about 2 months ago, so you can see we are a fairly new community.

I'm typing this to offer our server up to any dogs that feel like checking it out. Those that enjoyed WoW and stopped playing for whatever reason and to those that still enjoy playing. As I said we are a free server. It is kept as traditional as possible. Experience rate is higher than normal, but not extremely high, it's set at 15x normal so you still have to work a bit to get your level. Gold rates are 17x and item drop rates are set at 20x normal.

We have damn near everything working (remember free server, so obviously there are bugs). Compared to most free servers we're better. Almost all bosses, instances and mobs are scripted, meaning they use their abilities and spells. You won't find that on most private servers.

We have a very friendly community, and a few knowledgeable GM's (ME!). If you have any interest in playing please feel free to check us out.

Like I said, I dislike advertising, but I really like this server and think it has potential, we just need to get our population up.

The admins are throwing around the idea of offering new players free levels for joining over the next month or so. Nothing has been set in stone at the moment, not even sure of what level will be given for free. Normally we try to remain as retail-like as possible, but we're offering some incentive to anyone that's willing to give us a chance.

If you get in, look me up. I'm usually on my GM account character names of either Aliera or Uttrick. Also a close friend of mine is also a GM there, his character name is Korrd. We are the 2 GM's you'll see on most often.

Might check it out this weekend if i can find my install disks. otherwise it'll be a while. (dsl can be a biatch when the intallers are gig's in size (reminds me of the days of dialup))

Question: Your howto says to patch to 2.3.0 ... the current version is 2.3.3 ... do i need to downgrade, or are you guys patched up to 2.3.3?

Looks like i'll be on later thes afternoon or early evening. Found my install cds but it's gonna take an hour plus to download the patch and I do have a couple of erands to do first (stock up on snacks and drinks.

Quick question for you guys - Are you playing horde or alance for the most part (i was playing horde befor i quite)?

It had been stable until today for some reason. I've hardly seen it crash until now. The admin's working on it though. The server itself isn't crashing, just the realm is for some reason.
