|
So I won a PS3 at my company Christmas party a week or so ago. Immediately went out and bought Guitar Hero 3, and I've been playing nonstop ever since. 5 starred all the songs on easy and medium and I'm about halfway through hard. I can say it's infinitely harder to play this game than it is to play a real guitar. They make some of these songs just ridiculous. For instance One by Metallica, I can play that entire song on guitar, but it was a bitch to beat on medium difficulty for me.
I get online every now and again, tag is G1bsonSG.
On a side note, I was kind of disappointed.... I used to have a PS2 and was a huge fan of the Devil May Cry games. I had 1, 2 and 3 and when I sold the PS2 I kept them around thinking I'd get another one eventually. So I thought when I got the PS3 I'd pop them in and play for old time's sake, only I can't. Seems the 40GB model does not have any emulation at all. Even though there is a thing in the menu called the PS/PS2 memory card utility. What a rip. But I guess you can't really complain when it was at the low, low price of FREE. |

Eh, I dunno.... I might. I noticed it had that option in the menu. |

gotta update the firmware... then gotta install F@H... then gotta update F@H... then gotta run it... then gotta change the settings to put it in the right user and team... then let it run...
just did that with my cousin's PS3... hopefully he'll quit his games before walking away and leaving the system on. |

I was skeptical about Guitar Hero III. After a co-worker recommended it, I thought I'd give it a try. This game rocks! I just played 4½ hours straight (until Slash defeated me). I had the music turned up loud enough and was engrossed enough in the game that I managed to miss three calls on my work cell phone. That is exactly the sort of distraction that I was hoping for.
