So now everybody is happy, except me! No ass to kick, no reall prick - just a (rightly) frustrated tinkerer. And on top of that the storm we had last night felled our only large pine tree over our neighbours yard. Yay!

hi all! i have got this problem: i have win2000 sp4 and i tried to change the boot screen. all went perfectly but when i restarted the logo was blue with "OS/2 warp" written. then windows started normally. i tried changing the image with others, but the same thing appened. any idea? (i did exactly what was written in the guide) |

Welcome to the forums.
Unless you're actually running OS/2 Warp, chances are that the bitmap you put into NTOSKRNL.EXE was an image of an OS/2 Warp logo. |

I'm running sp4, did everything to the t (4-bit 654x480 153,718 bytes bmp), and it does not work.
upon choosing to run the hacked logo, the bios runs again, posts... and takes me back to the selection screen.
I went through the whole process a second time with a kernel02.exe, and still no dice. |

Do you mean 640x480?
What happens if you run with an unmodified kernel? Does the OS load normally, or does your machine display the symptoms described above? |
