That's nuts ... I remember when we couldn't even get 2 devices to share an IRQ ...
and you have 9 doing it ... :

In Win2k....it's by design. It happens when you have ACPI - (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) turned on in your BIOS. If you turn it off and reload, You will not have as many on the same IRQ.
I have seen a few machines have problems with it, but it should work fine for most machines. (having it turned on that is).
the funny thing is....MS recommends having it turned off.

I'm using an Abit BP6 with the lastest BIOS: RU w/ HPT366 BIOS 1.28 and ACPI turned on and my PC actually works better and yes I share IRQs plus have some that normally don't exist like 39 is my Vid card. Go figure.

Win2k has virtual IRq's
one of M$'s ways of dealing with the fact that mobo/chipset/cpu designers are still only counting from 0-15
i have one in the 200's someplace. . but i forget which one

I have about six IRQ's on my win2k box. Every periferal I have is sharing IRQ 9. When I first got my Radeon it was performing really poorly, and I thought perhaps ACPI was my problem. I reformated and reinstalled without ACPI, and performance actually got worse. Turned out that I had a nic that didn't like to play with anybody else. It made my promise card unstable. My Hollywood+ card wouldn't work at all. The only thing unaffected was my SBLive card. It took a lot of playing around to figure out it was nic(Piece of crap that came with my old HP).
