|
To celebrate my vacations, i bought myself a mighty gift... a completely new audio system, with new speakers and amp. I installed everything today.
Harmon Kardon AVR 247
Front: PSB Image T45
Center: PSB Image C40
Surround: PSB Image B15
The sound is amazingly clear, precise, it fills the room. Playing a BluRay or HD-DVD on that thing is simply a bliss. When playing music, you can hear the faint reverb on a guitar, the stroke of the fingers on a contrabass, all the little sounds you normally don't hear on a cheapass system. If you're on a somewhat budget, looking to spend your hard-earned money on quality that will last for years, this is a kickass setup, highly recommended.
Oh and... post your shit, people. Let's see what y'all got. |

Cheap Pioneer receiver with a Klipsh 5 piece surround sound system and 2 450 watt subs.
I plan on updating to a Yamaha receiver at some point (More power, plus ability to connect to the LAN to play music from a server) |

Fun thread!
Denon DVD2900: CD/DVD/DVD Audio/Super Audio CD player
Denon AVR-3802: Receiver / surround + back amplifier
NAD 218: Front amplifier
B&W Nautilus 803: Front speakers
Dali 7a: Surround speakers
Mission ? (Can't find the model): (small) Back speakers
The NAD 218 is "modified" by a guy that really knows his shit. The difference in depth and warmth of the sound from it is amazing. It gets very very hot though.

my mom's got some more recent kewl stuff... like a master copy of the Eagle's Hotel California LP vinyl. Sounds great on her Fisher studio standard turntable component system. |
