|
Last weekend a buddy and I were goofing off (drinking beer, playing XBox), and I came to a conclusion:
I simply don't have enough XBox games that we can play together.
And by together I mean:
1) We play at the same time (on the same screen, using different controllers)
2) We have the option to play cooperatively (with each other) instead of against each other - for example, it's more fun for us to take on the computer "bad guys" than to take on each other
The only games I have that meet this need are:
- Halo
- A couple of the "classic arcade games" discs
So I was wondering: what games (for the original XBox, not the 360) would you guys suggest that I get that we'd be able to play cooperatively?
Note: the exception to #2 above is that I would consider racing games where we play against each other - we're just not much for the fighting or FPS games where we'd be fighting only each other.
Another note: I'm not as picky about whether a game is "new" or any of that. In fact, the older ones have some appeal considering they're generally cheaper, as long as the gameplay is fun. |

Get Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball. It's not co-op but it's still a lot of fun multiplayer, the game's focus really isn't on competition. |

Is that one where two players could play at the same time on one console? |

How about some racing games?
I like to check out the $10 bin at Target/ Walmart/ wherever and get "old" games.
That's how I ended up with Test Drive: Eve of Destruction. The figure 8 jump races just never get old. |

Ooh, good call.
Get a Burnout game. Quite simply the most fun a racing franchise has ever been. |

Both Battlefront games are coop. X-men legends, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, thats all I can think of off the top of my head. I am always looking out for coop games my wife and I can play. |

Not to go off on a tangent, but they're making a sequel for the 360.
