.....having...flashbacks...from...the 1980's vacation trip. 5,000 miles in 8 days. Never want to see those people again.

Internet Access in Hookstown, PA just doesn't happen. And then we went to Darden, TN...where even my cell phone doesn't work - no signal, no service. You'd think they'd fix that eventually...

I even have pics of an IPhone, fireworks, and umm...the Worlds Largest Tea Pot in the WORLD! I'll do an update later...when everyone is showering.

For now it's rest...tomorrow we hit the road and will be home sometime later...like 8pm or something like that.

OK..well first up... we spent a day at the Mall of America... someone called, and from LBD, and I just didn't hear my phone Undecided

So... I took this at the Apple Store instead:

The iPhone...I'll never get one. I don't like that design. But if you like it, by all means, get it!

Then we went to the Shark Tube!

and spent time on all the rides in the middle of the park too! It was a exhausting day to say the least. I even did the Nascar video game and came in Second place! Krbs road with!

We then headed out to Batavia, Illinois. The town I grew up in. I swear, someone made everything lots smaller.
We watched the fireworks there, and I still like that show. It's a lot different town!

Then we went to my cousins/aunts/uncles farm in Hookstown, PA.

That's me with my youngest cousin there...Laurie. She'll be pissed if she ever sees this. I hope she does!
There's also a park/ball field across the crick after walking through the pasture. Someone should have taken a picture of me climbing the fence, but, smartly...I hold the camera!
Here's a picture of the wall honoring family members who have served.... my family had 6 or 7 names..

They list them by first name, and everyone goes by middle names..so I had no idea who some were until later when I asked my cousins.

We went to Pittsburgh the first day and got lunch at Tesaros. It was good, go there. Get a burger. then go to the coffee shop across the street and get cake.

See, the cake is good.

Also... as promised...
The Worlds Largest Tea Pot...in the most dangerous place to get to...this is as close as I got:

We wandered around East Liverpool, but, I'm not in those pictures.... interesting.

More tomorrow...maybe... Wink

I dont know what you're talking about.

I suppose I should offload that last days drives pictures... there's some giant cow thing Krbs made me stop and take a picture of. Other than that... we stopped at Conways Redtop in Pueblo and had milk shakes for dinner. (Yes, they are that big!)
I need to go back for the giant hamburger again...I haven't had one since I moved away in 2000.

OHwell...vacation was a great thing! Lots of fun and relaxation. Got over the "vacation hangover" in about 3 days Smile

Got caught up from work in 1 day.
