Wow! That is awesome. I'd love to see it be able to export a true 3D model for use in Virtual Earth (or Google Earth, but I can't see anything from MS supporting GE). |

I got to meet Dr. Gary Flake when I was at Microsoft in March. He showed us a bunch of neat stuff they are doing at Live Labs. They did a Photosynth project of a couple of really cool stuff that I am under NDA not to talk about. He did a nice presentation on what the future of the internet looks like to him as well. He is an amazing thinker.
If you look at the About Us page I believe he is the one that has the Duct tape on his mouth.
If I understood his presentation, Live Labs was created just for creative research. They will come up with ideas but they will not be the group that takes them to Production. They will pass off ideas to Product Development groups if someone at Microsoft wishes to take on the task. |
