Since he put a nifty little title up there that says "wow new patch release", and this is the Gamers Corner forum, I'm assuming he meant the hugely, and widely know game called W.O.W. or, World of Warcraft. |

So "wow" wasn't an exclamation of surprise, then, but an abbreviation? The case didn't make it obvious.
As for the question, presumably all new World of Warcraft patches are announced on Blizzard's website. That said, it's a bit poor if the game client can't update itself directly. |

It's set to to go into effect next week, the blizzard downloader should have already downloaded it in the background as you played. 269mb if I remember correctly. |

this background downloader is a POS. I'd rather download the patch at full speed than wait for it to download using my idle bandwidth. I even disabled the throttling and it still doesnt speed up significantly.
7hrs for a patch is BS. |

I prefer crying, Since that's what they are doing.
Less BS, now if they will just balance the horde quest's loot to teh same difficulty as alliance quest's. |

BOOOOO mages still have blink so they didnt do what they said they would. SO PVP will still be dominated by mages.
There are a few issues such as stutter and video tears. |

I wasn't aware there was ever any talk of taking blink away from mages and it would kill the class to do so. I've planned a mage and without blink you're pretty much hosed in PvE as well as PvP.
I dunno, I eat mages for lunch as a balance druid. Sometimes it gets a bit rough when they're 3 minute AP/PoM but I still manage to take them out for the most part. |

I've also heard complaints from hunters due to traps not staying as long either. so no more tapping flags in pvp. |
