I think we should double his pay for doing such a good job. |

I have to agree.
jolly cracking.
and jolly rancher even.
I have to admit I chuckled when i read:
Quote:Some of my friends use the VoIP program Skype, a version of which is available for OS X, and I wanted to join them. I also wanted to get my webcam to work with Skype and, as luck would have it, I'd chosen a camera whose manufacturer provided suitable drivers for OS X
It is amazing how many manufactureres do NOT keep up with Macs OS drivers. I was secretly anticipating your printing frustrations - but alas - you ahve an HP.... the ONLY company who makes printers that keeps up on the drivers (or so it seems) -
On a larger scale - Xerox pretends to - it's like they rig the old drivers for temporary fixes and then never come out with drivers proper until the next upgrade. Which is fine if you are only printing one sided standard documents.
I'm with you Toxin - I don't think I would recommend a mini to a novice in terms of set up and execution... but I like to sit newbies in front of it for standard software and interface training. I love those first moments when they are desparately looking for a tower - then some sort of button - then they drag their hands all over the key board hoping to stumble across "ON"....
I enjoy that. |

So, am I...several times, in fact : ) Actually, we should rename the author to anti-Toxin for the 'feel good' pleasure felt from the 5 chapters. |

We have a large Mac base where I work because of course we are a Marketing company so half of our computers are macs. We use Xerox copiers but for printers we have all HP's for black and white. The MAC users have these huge Canon printers that they use for hard copy color proofs that we send to our clients. I can't believe how fast they spit out color prints. They are pretty amazing. |

What type of Canon printers are you using?
I am trapped in a room with a single 3535 Xerox color laser printer (Using a SPLASH).
It's pretty good - I love the Doc 12 in terms of product but I'll take the speed of the 3535.
I am running 1500 pieces right now - tomorrow I run 5000 2/s (10,000 color clicks! :::faint::: ) and then I have to run 2000 2/s before the end of the week. I am taking bets the machine up and DIES. |
