Well fuck that... i just learned that Canada will only get 50 000 PS3 for the whole freakin' country on launch day. Fuck you Sony, i'm buying a X360. I'll buy your console in 2007. There's no freakin' way i'm getting one on Nov. 17th. Neutral

Edit: And to top it off, i just read that there will probably be no PS3 available for Canada until April 2007 after the first 50 000 are sold !!? WTF ??! Man, that sucks.

I've made up my mind: I'm buying a X360 tomorrow and the Wii next week. The PS3 will simply have to wait... or i'll have to wait for the PS3, if you prefer.

... and just to fuck up with my mind, when i'll go buy the Wii on the 19th, a bunch of PS3 will be available for sale at Wal-Mart... Rolling Eyes

1 - If you have the hard drive you do not need the memory card.

2 - The batteries that come with the controller are just regular AA batteries. I found they lasted almost a month of heavy playing. You don't need to buy the battery packs, its just kinda easier than hunting for batteries.

3 - The cable that comes with the console has regular RCA connectors. It has a port for the fiber cable, but the fiber cable is not included in the package.

I lile the rechargable battery packs and quick charger. It was the best upgrade I made. By the way get Gears of War. Lots of fun.

I know you made your descision but wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I like my 360 and havn't had any problems with it. Saying that you should get the extended warrenty it is only $45 US and is worth it due to some problems people have with it. The premium edition is the way to go. I think the HD is a must and am so used to wireless controllers that I needed that.

Well, i bought it. I bought the white box with Ghost Recon and a DVD filled with puzzle games thrown in(they didn't have the one with Project Gotham Racing). I also bought Gears of War, Dead Rising and Perfect Dark Zero Limited Edition. I save quite a bit of money on the total price... my friend is always telling me that i have the best luck for these kind of things...

- First, the console was marked 499$ and when he scanned it, it was 449$.

- Second, when he scanned Gears of War, it came out as being 35$. I raised an eyebrow and the clerk saw me and asked me "What?" .. i said "Nothing"... teehehe... sucker Mr. Green

- The game is retailed at 70$

- Perfect Dark was tagged 40$ and when he scanned it, it was 30$. Cool.

So, i saved 95$ total, which is perfectly cool with me. Of course, all prices are in Canadian $$$ Wink Smile

I played Gears of War a bit before going to my bro for dinner and right from the start, i can tell you that i'll have to get used to aiming with the controller because i sure have a heck of trouble playing with it... or i'll have to find a keyboard+mouse hack or something.

Ooohh do i ever suck with the controller ! I keep dying at GOW in the FIRST mission because i can't aim for shit ! I will never be able to finish that game without a keyb+mouse

I keep pressing left to aim right and right to aim left. Fortunately, you can invert the Y axis in all the games i have, but only Dead Rising have the option to invert X axis... and guess what, i'm pretty much kicking ass like a champ at Dead Rising ! If only i could invert the X axis for GOW and Perfect Dark, it would be WAY easier.

... and i love Dead Rising ! I just kept laughing. Such a great game so far and i'm only 20 minutes in.

Edit: I know why i keep pressing left to look right and vice-versa on the right analog stick; it's because it's the way it is in Final Fantasy XII. You press left to move the camera right and right to move it left. That's why i keep fucking up.

I love the X360. Gears of War is a must buy. Lego Starwars II is a blast too.

BTW, the PS3 and Wii are on display at Breastbuy. The Wii did not have a controller and is locked down for only display. But the PS3 is playable. I played some off-road racing game demo for almost an hour. Embarassed

The gameplay is amazing. Shocked

I think i'll just breakdown and get both the Wii and the PS3 eventually.

If you want to play the Wii they have a playable setup at EB.

I bought the HD-DVD add-on last week. I can't wait to buy a new HDTV so i can see really see what the X360 can offer... because right now, Dead Rising's font are making my eyes hurt. Font is too small for my 27" SDTV.

Gears of War is my favorite, but Call of Duty 2 is second, I have call of Duty 3 but only played the training mission havn't played it much. Trying to switch from Gears to CoD, is confusing, I keep trying to go into cover in CoD and get shot. I think I will finish gears then finish CoD.

Btw, we should post our Gamertags somewhere here so we can set each other up in our friends folder on the 360. Mine is compgodjds.

You should all visit www.XboxLiveConnection.com and we can discuss all of the 360/Live stuff you want.

The 360 is well worth the cash, and Live is a must have, along with Gears. Not to mention a few other really good ones.

And, if you like this place for hardware, XLC seems to be layed out almost exactly the same! Razz
