The Chicago Marathon was yesterday. Did anybody see Robert Cheruiyot crack his head on the pavement?

He was coming up to the finish line, and he slipped on a wet decal on the road. He fell over backwards and his head bounced off of the pavement. His forward momentum carried him over the finish line, so he still won. The brain hemorraging did not help him remember that he'd won, though.

Very scary.

ouch! I'm betting they won't have sponsor decals painted at the finish lines soon... or at least, it'll be a different type of paint that's not slippery when wet.
