If I were to bring back the server and the website, would anyone play? This is a serious question.
I'd like an answer by this thursday, I have a 4 day weekend and it has been allocated for much needed work on websites and such. |

My clouds silver lining has been tarnished black . It still follows me around but makes outcomes a whole lot more grim.

A copy of Counterstrike:Source.
Ventrillo for voice communication, but we have copies of it from back when it was still free.  I'd recommend a good headset though.

I checked the website, apparently it's still free. I could have sworn that they started charging for it.
First game won't be for a few weeks. I have to get the server running first, then see how many things doomhammer will break. Once that's done I'm going to sit back and wait until the site handover is complete. Once that's complete and I have a license to use the LWD name and logo I will put up the site and open the server to the group. Same as last time, I ask before using what isn't mine.
I probably will leave it open once it's running, just not officially as LWD Counterstrike. I ask that noone start playing with the [LWD] handle until it is official, as a courtesy to edison.
Just so it's out in the open now, there most likely will be one or two small ads on the site. The revenue from those ads will go to LWD. I'll be hosting the site on my own hosting, but I don't foresee getting anywhere near going over the bandwidth cap.
As it stands right now we'll be running the mani admin plugin, ventrilo, and some form of stats script. If anyone has any input on what they would like to see let me know and I'll see what I can do. Looks like we'll have a public and a private server, and possibly a HL2 server running Garry's Mod 10 when it comes out. We'll see. |

Would you at least consider Teamspeak instead of Ventrilo?
I'm OK with the site-ads and stuff. Nothing worse than LWD, I suppose. I can stand that, but I'd rather have a donation. Your call, though. And I guess nothing stops me from donating anyway.
