I saw xbox.dedi.inhoster.com in here looking at site feedback. It must be related to them finding out on Google what we think of them.

As a result I've sandbagged 85.255.117.226 so it's only a few victims.

They'll be back. They always come back. I expect we've got someone's attention and some little boy with a lot of testosterone will try another joe job on my nick or something, because they are like that. Whatever. It always leads people here, so I guess I should be okay with the free advertising.

Sigh. All I wish they would do is leave the sites alone.

I could probably deal with these guys via .htaccess. The whole /19 I mean. Not that it's all of inhoster as I have found out but I'm still learning these things. I have a real job, to support my wife and kids, you know.

Could we get an update on block lists, please?

I've erm... "aquired" a new (hardware) firewall that actually allows me to block stuff. Yay!

So far I've blocked most of Asia pacific, and some Canadian Shaw Cable ranges that continually try to send stuff on the 1026-1028 ports.

Sure. Been a few adds from Asia mostly. Ukraine is too small to have new ipblocks given to them, but China, now that's a lot of Class A's.

Give me a day or so to catch up with my life.

On my web server I blocked all of China, most of Russia and Ukraine and a couple other countries. That cut down my attacks by about 90%. A little aggressive, I know, but I don't want to mess with it, and none of my customers currently do business with those countries. If there ever is any interest I may open it up and just do selective blocks.

someone should start a thread with all their blocks in a organized list...

it doesn't take long to sort in OpenOffice's Calc Smile Just long to type out Smile
