If you want to grab the attention of a roomful of hackers, one sure fire way to do it is to show them a new method for remotely circumventing the security of an Apple Macbook computer to seize total control over the machine. That's exactly what hackers Jon "Johnny Cache" Ellch and David Maynor plan to show today in their Black Hat presentation on hacking the low-level computer code that powers many internal and external wireless cards on the market today.

farmboy noted that there were 2 flaws in windows drivers that would allow XP machines to be attacked in a similar fashion.

Hmmm, I am surprised by the lack of comment.

But then again, being pwned in under 60 seconds is bad. Of course us windoz people know all about that. Just that I guess rather than spend millions on an ads one should check the pad lock.

queue titles, Lights, camera, action

AND HERE HE IS......STEVE JOBS, intruducing the new movie from the producers of Gone in 60 seconds, yes it that fast, the new MACBOOK gone in 60 seconds

(for you indy fans....Tom Carnegie: and its a new track record)

huh, what, Steve wasnt shown the tape? Oh well roll out the new mini HIFI IPOD
look at them oooh and ahhhh

queue the Borg

Man it has to hurt to be punked the week before a big event.

In truth, I do think that they did a nice thing in not doing in public, given how much hacking goes on during those shows. Now it is time to see what they can do about the firmware issue with the wifi chip. FOR ALL OF US WIRELESS PEOPLES WIN, LINUX, AND MAC

first there was hack a shack
wait for it
now there is hack a mac

queue music: Dust in the Wind

Mac no Virus, but why worry about that when.... ARRRGGGGH apple zombies at door with flaming g5's, power supplies and macbooks....

FREEEDOM!!!!

Oh yeah - turns out it was hacked using a third party driver. It wasn't hacked using the stock Apple drivers.
