Gut a 17" or 19" CRT montor, replace the screen with a LCD, and build the computer into the monitors chassis. I have neither the resources nor the knowhow to do it, but I would love to see one made. You could cut a slot in the bezel to conceal the CD/DVD drive and maybe a card reader, and possibly use the original OSD buttons for power,/reset/CD/DVD drive etc... |

I think it might be done
especially with a small "all in a pci slot" type computer card
it'd be easier to buy a Mac (ouch, bite my tongue) |

Apple did it with the I-mac... only they built it all into an LCD with the new ones...
and you can load windows. |

could easily be done with a shuttle microboard and minimal addon cards. Also you'd want some major airflow on that since everything will be inside the CRT box which allows for some passive air flow up but no real fans to speak of |

you can smack me all you'd like... but the honest truth of the matter is the first I-macs did just what you are talking about, and the 3rd generation (4th if you could the change to intels as a generational jump) does it far better then the originals. |

We did something similar to that for use as Thin Clients at a hospital. Worked like a charm. |

All well and good, though completely besides the point.
Also no one has made a virus for linux... but I don't see any linux bashing going on here... always discriminating against the free software...
shame, you people are always being so predjudice... Maybe you should look at your beige/black Pc tower, and at my white mac, and realize that the similarities out weight the differances... the only real differance is that mac makes it harder for some one to do something with out a mouse... (and how people can survive mac os with one mouse button is beyond me...) |
