although I've seen the same design with different nic or sound from 3 or 4 different companies

yeah everything works . . . I just bought a new one with integrated video (that will accecpt an athlonXP when i decide to replace my Duron 600)

Amptron is just a sticker name for pcchips(aka the cheap part of elitegroup)

The best official according to me for everything pcchips

Pcchips and Amptron along with some others out there are channel partners with ECS which means they distribute ECS built motherboards, built to there specifications. Sometimes with there own product name stamped on them.

pcchips has merged last year with ecs. Before they made there own boards. And building to spec. In my opinion in the ford way. Any color as long as it is black
