Spot. .
I think you left the nastiest trick of all out of that article:
The trick that The OEM's played on so many people by making you take Win-Doze when you buy a new PC [ )]
Blame is for people who need a reason to be pissed off !

Part 2, please! And a question- Do you know a way to launch control panels from the "Run" dialog or from the command line- if, say, you've removed folders from the Settings menu (using user profiles) or hidden control panels one by one (using tweakUI or editing control.ini)?
Thanks!

Sure thing - thats an easy one. Click START - RUN and type in control.exe followed by the CPL file you want to launch. Example:
control.exe main.cpl

Thanks! That's going to save time when I have to make minor changes around here- I'm used to editing the registry to restore the "Control Panels" folder, killing Explorer, making changes, and re-editing to remove the folder again! So obviously yours is a much-needed tip ;)

I would make a suggestion on the screen cap trick. Make sure that the startbar is visible when taking the screen cap, and then drag the start bar to the side or top of the screen and autohide it. |

Wouldn't it just be easier for the Desktop replacement trick to just turn on View As Webpage and Hide All Icons on Desktop??
Also, I'm looking for the command in DOS to create an image that overlaps the Desktops', and actually creates a sort of Screen Print that even covers up the Start Menu Button and the Systray.....You can't click on anything at all with this command. If I can find it, I let y'all know, or if someone already know it...give me a 'holla!

Another annoying thing to do, is if they have a scroll mouse, you go to the registry, CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop, and change the WheelScrollLines from the default 3 to something really big, like 20 or something.
What's funny is that they'll usually think that it's their mouse that's causing the trouble, so they take the "faulty mouse" to the shop, plug it in, only to see it work perfectly and make a fool of themselves!
You have all my votes for Part 2!! |

I too vote for a part two. But don't publish too soon... keep people in suspense. Also gives me time to try out tricks..
Another real easy trick is to unplug stuff. Did that to my ex's TV and she called out a repairman! HAHA - 50 American dollars she pays to him to plug it in! |
