Since I found out that I cannot upgrade my ABIT KT7A to an Athlon XP because I have version 1.0 of the motherboard. I have just decided to buy the fastest Thunderbird I can put in there and call it good. Really pisses me off though that I have to stop at 1.4ghz. A 500 mhz jump should get me another Work Unit crunched on seti I would hope. Anyone interested in buying it let me know. I guess we can haggle on the price. It is a Boxed version so it will come with the heatsink and fan. I believe the boxed version comes with a 3year warranty. I have not used the heatsink that came with it. I put on a Taisol heatsink and was originally using a Delta Fan but the damn thing was so loud I could not stand it so I put the AMD fan on it.
I am thinking of maxing out my memory, so I may be getting rid of a 256 meg stick of Crucial memory.
If anyone is interested let me know. I am not going to order the new cpu until I know I can sell the old one to someone. |

Trying to find some price quotes on Boxed 900 thunderbirds. I can only find Oem prices. Which are going for around $60. If you find any links let me know. I will look at them and probably drop the price a little bit because I have been using this cpu for 9 months. |

I was thinking $80. It comes with the HSF. I will pay for shipping in the Continental USA. I still have to order a new cpu first. I am not going to order until I know I have a buyer for this one. If anyone uses PayPal we can pay for it that way. Or a money order is fine as well. |

I do not know what the exchange rate is. But my wife told me that you should be able to go to any bank and they will give a US funds money order. In other words they will do the conversion for you.
If you want the ram as well, I might as well just bend over and take it up the arse as well. |
