For playing games, with my Radeon 9800 PRO, the Omega drivers offer higher framerates on the average.

Somewhere uhder support.ati.com , navigate your way to self-service drivers and software, note the prominent category for WindowsXP drivers and then select "Notebooks with ATI Graphics".
