So i didn't really know where to post this, so it went here.

I am attempting to sell a 2200+ Machine. I'm not really having luck here, so I was thinking ebay, but I don't know if I'll make a profit there.

Specs:

AMD 2200+
512 MB Corsair Value Select PC3200
80 GB Western Digital IDE HDD
Asus A7V400-MX (8x AGP, 16, 32, or 64 MB Shared memory for onboard vid. I'm using 64)
52x32x52x12x CD/RW/DVD
Silent Boost, 21 dB Case fans
17" eMachines Monitor
Keyboard, Mouse, and Speakers
Fully Legal and Licensed XP Home Edition

I was asking $500 for it here, but I don't know if I'd even get close to that off ebay. I was also considering selling it separately (i.e. Tower and monitor) Also would shipping be a killer? Any suggestions would be awesome Very Happy

thanks and your price seems reasonable but the shipping is going to be a big killer on that sale. You're better off not shipping the monitor and just sell the pc as is.

The price really isn't reasonable, considering people can get a brand new PC from Dell with a warantee for much less then that. And for the same amount of money, they can get something thats better.

Unfortnately, you just can't compete with *insert mail order dicount computer vendor here*. It sounds like a fine system, but not many would be willing to purchase a 2-year old for $500 if they can get a brand new one for $400. If it were up to me, I would either:

Keep it for whatever project (media server, test box, crunching numbers etc...)

Donate it to a needy family or NPO (you may be able to get a tax deduction if you do this)

Take whatever I could for it, even if it seems ridiculously low.

Good luck

Thanx for all the suggestions. I may end up giving it to my in-laws.

You will almost always do better parting out and selling the individual parts than trying to sell the system as a whole. The risk, of course, is that some of the parts don't sell.
