Ah yes...an oldie but a goodie. I'm looking for one of these, either speed will work. But the catch is, it has to be a non mobile one, with the 266mhz fsb. I need one of these to resurect a computer for someone, and me being the dumbass that I was, sold my 2400+ a while back.
So yeah, anyone? |

Do not waste your money buying any new Socket-A parts in 2005.
AMD Mobile AthlonXP 2400+ 35W Barton 1.8GHz 512KB L2 cache, 133/266MHz FSB, 1.35V
AMD Duron 1.6 Applebred 1.6GHz 64KB L2 cache, 133/266MHz FSB, 1.5V
Socket-754 provides what I believe to be the correct solution to your dilemma.
AMD Sempron64 2600+ Palermo 1.6GHz 128KB L2 cache, 1.4V, 64-bit
Socket-754 NForce3-250 motherboard with AGP slot
Socket-754 Radeon XPress 200 motherboard with PCIe-X16 slot and integrated DX9 graphics |

I am willing to bet that even though he didn't specify this, that the Mobo wont't recognize a FSB higher than 266mhz |

Money is a significant issue to this person, which is why I'm trying to fix the PC rather then build a new one.
Murph, it would be awesome if you could find one of those. |

I have a 2200+ if that would work.
But I won't be in town until Friday. |

sorry, i checked and the only thing I can find laying around is an AMD 1600. Sounds like you are looking for something with a wee bit more firepower than that though. |
