2005-06-29 15:27:49 [SETI@home] No schedulers responded

Is this a seti problem? or do I have some issue on my end. This seems to happen when I attempt to upload WU's. Of course, keep in mind, I an fairly new to seti. I signed up yesterday and joined the LWD team.

as previously posted and reminded

please do at least 1 other project outside seti
there are several CPDN, einstein, burp, LHC to name a few. Google the project you'd like as a backup and attach to it as you did with seti. CPDN is probably the easiest to do since its completion date is 1 year from your D/L

also note that it is a very large project and is fairly dialup unfriendly

Ok, I guess I will give it some time to see what happens. I checked this morning and I have 4 WU's ready to be uploaded. I followed the link to the seti status page, but everything seems to be running fine this morning. I have setup another couple machines to see if the issue is related to this machine specifically, or is it some sort of firewall issue perhaps. This machine is my machine at work. We do have a cisco firewall in place. Anyone ever have issue with their firewalls blocking the uploads?

Also, thanks for the welcome! Hopefully I can help to move LWD up the ladder!

They had an outage yesterday. Typically when they turn things back on, they are hammered with returning wu's and requests for more. It usually takes a good 1-2 days for them to "catch up". Hang in there, you should be running normal again.

Thanks for the welcome guys, it does appear that it is working. I have managed to get a couple WU's uploaded and another one downloaded. Currently I have 3 machines running BOINC, and after taking care of things at home, I should have 2 more. Later on, I should have yet another. Hope this will help out the cause! Oh, by the way, I signed up at mundayweb for the counters, but I cant seem to get this to work with my signature, how are you guys, err, dogs doing that?

woof!
