These first-round only rankings are not very meaningful. There is a big difference between Vermont's upset of Syracuse in your bracket versus Vermont's upset of Syracuse in my bracket.

You lost one point in the first round for that upset. Since you did not pick Syracuse to win another game, there is no additional impact to your score in the following rounds. I lost one point in the first round for picking Syracuse over Vermont, just as you did. In addition to that one point, I will lose two points in the second round because I picked Syracuse to win there and advance to the sweet sixteen. I will lose four points in the third round because I picked Syracuse to win there and advance to the elite eight. I will lose eight points in the fourth round because I picked Syracuse to win there and advance to the final four.

For the first-round only scoring, we both lost one point when Vermont upset Syracuse. For the overall tournament, I am guaranteed to lose 15 points as a result of this upset, while you can still possibly earn 14 of those 15 points in later rounds.

Compare my bracket, with 25 of 32 correct first-round picks:
http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/men/503687/printbracket
to Rahhstah's bracket, with 22 of 32 correct first-round picks:
http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/men/561510/printbracket

The Gulpsters bracket still has much more potential than mine does. About the only way that my guesses can beat the Gulpsters at this point is if Connecticut loses in the second or third rounds. With the 3 and 7 seeds already upset and knocked out in their regional, Connecticut's path to the elite 8 looks pretty clear.

Go Bucknell! I'm disappointed that I didn't pick them because that is my Dad's alma mater... I almost picked them just for that reason.. At least in the league that I'm doing where it costs money to play I took Vermont Smile

Can't remember what I took in yahoo.

With the first three games in the second round, we've seen two more #3 seeds go down. Webster had both of those #3 seeds going to the Final Four in his bracket. OUCH!

178 Gulpsters
176 Cybo
174 Therapists
172 JAmZ SeSSioN
169 BlueCamaro
165 LongLiveGoku
159 JustAnEngineer
155 Webster
153 Nat-a-tat-tat
141 Evil
139 Doomhammer

P.S.: Nattie, here is your bracket:

Alabama's first round flop against UW-Milwaukee hurt your bracket more than anyone else's.

I should have just duped my other bracket for the money league I'm doing... I picked several correct upsets and would be winning... Confused
