One 250 Gb HDD western digital (IDE 100)
sapphire 9800 pro (128mb) W/ the R360 chipset.

Try updating your BIOS, that might let you change the settings a little bit more freely.
As for the FSB, the speed of your RAM is 200MHz, but it's DDR, so that's doubled to 400MHz, and for the chip, it looks like it has a 10× multiplier, so that's 10×200MHz = 2GHz processor speed.
To get up to 2.15Ghz, you'll need to put the FSB up to 215Mhz. |

This little baby?
DigiDoctor Utility...2.7MB in size
Manual...
You could try SpeedFan to monitor yer temps as well as changing yer FSB clock speed... |

All I can say is take it slow ... if you bump up the FSB or multiplyer too quickly, you could make the system unusable, unstable, or even burn up the CPU. And nobody wants that.
You might also want some aftermarket cooling on critical components (CPU, Chipset, Video Card, possibly RAM) and a fair amount of case fans (three or four), or water cooling. The cooler the components, the higher you can overclock (theoretically). |

Well i am back with the results, first things first i think my specs should be displayed.
amd 64 3000+ W/zalman 7000Cu (artic silver 5 all the way)
this mobo
1 gig PDP
with 512 of mushkin (1.5 gigs total)
sapphire 9800 pro W/ giant 3 from thermaltake (A.S. 5 as well)
inside a antec lanboy (2 X 120 Fans)
audigy 2 ZS
anyhow here are the results, after i updated the bios, i noticed some changes that the computer maed on its own. for instance the divider is on and at 166 and i am running on a 1T command rate which is what all amd owners want. i found out that with this mobo that the cpu and fsb are locked in together so if you move up the cpu, you also move up the FSB it just doesn't tell you that. I can't remember nor can i find the paper of how far i went before i got an error and would not let me into XP. but i beileve i went as high as 240 (480) but then ii brought it back down to 225 (450) and seams a little quirky but ok. onw problem though. ervery time i shut down it boots right back up again. ANY one has any idea why? any how i bench mark my machine at stock a year ago and i bech mark it again after the OC here are my results using Aqua Mark3
Aqua Mark 3
Before in 2004 at stock speedds: 23, 027
After the Over clock (225) : 46, 929
thats right 100% improvement.
I hope one of you can get back too me on the reboot problem listed up above. I know i hould probably get another 1 gig stick and get rid of 512. laters |

First off thanks to Tom, Doomhammer, BZP, Squito for all your help. according to last reply(squito) i did read it and i had printed it out like in january, that i forgot about it. but according to what it says i am currently at 187mhz 225 x 10/ 12=187 225 being cpu/FSB (on this board they are integrated) 10 being the multiplier that i can not change on this board and12 being the divider of some sort (according to the article) so technically i can push cpu/fsb up to 240 For 240 x 10/ 12 = 200mhz which is 3200 and that what i have but my cpu bottlenecks out like at 235 and i keep it at 225 for safety reasons.
However, i have a lil problem, every time i shut down through the OS (shutdown) it restarts just as shuts down. do any of you know what went wrong? |

The restart might be some kind of issue with the PSU. Although that 430W Antec jobbie should be plenty. |

well i found out the problem awhile back and this is what happen. for some reason the latest BIOS seems to be a little quirky and restarts my computer by itself after i shut it down (3.0). so i went back to version 2.0 and i no longer have that problem .
