Thanks for the Linux/2k boot instructions!
It works now.
When I run Linux (Red Hat 7.1), it is on
my laptop and has 2k on a sep. partition.
Now, when I do just about anything, my HD
clicks. The system runs fine, but I don't
think it can be good for the HD.
This does not happen under 2k.
Is it possible that Linux is putting the HD
to sleep?

Linux cache somewhat more agressive than windows so that could be the case, could also be that that part of the harddisk has that problem. But to be honnest my experience with laptops is limited |
