Hmmm looking at this might not be a bad idea for me, since the rear exaust fan only runs at 2200 rpms on my lian-li, and the top blow hole is just a beast its the loudest part of the whole damn system.

If possitive pressure is the problem, you could always add another exaust fan underneath the 1st rear one, provided that you have the space and it is properly sealed so all the air goes directly to the cpu.

I know that EdisonRex has his comps under his desk...

He put in an exhaust pipe on the output of his PSU and his temps dropped dramatically. He also added an intake snorkel and his comps are now running super cool.. Wink Smile

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea with the PSU, but wont do any of that untill I get a new PSU. I gotta put back this one in my RAIDMAX case soon because I am building my 5 year old nephew a system and he is like wow all those cool lights on the case(raidmax),way too cute.

Hmmm....seems that these snorkels are no longer made. Sad Smile

Guess it will be time to start figuring out how to make sturdy, low profile homemade ones... Wink Smile

Someone in the chat room suggested that you can use a CD spindle... I'm thinking the CD cakebox top...maybe from one of the small mini CDs... Big Smile

Mini/pocket CDR cakebox...

The PVC tube wouldn't work as you need a bottom to secure the tube to the fan...unless you got a super thin tube and glued a flat sheet to one end so you could cut out the proper sized hole and securing it to the fan... Wink Smile

$5 + $7 shipping Confused

This does look like a good product. If you're bringing in air from the back of the case, you may still want to fashion a deflector to send the hot air exhausted from the power supply up and away from the intake.

if you look around you'll find cases that come with a snorkel built into the cover. of course their isnt a fan connected to the end of the snorkel but it allows the cpu fan to have air directed to it from outside the case
