Okay, I get that Apple hamstrings its developers and insists on resizing windows with the lower-right corner widget, BUT...

Often, it becomes a workflow issue to have other window manipulation abilities. So, has anyone out there found a way to resize the windows in OSX other than this?

You can click the zoom (green) button to make a window larger temporarily. If a window is in the way, click the minimize (yellow) button to put it in the Dock.

Some windows do not allow you to change the size.

From Apple Help. VersionTracker maybe has some freeware/shareware too to change this but I haven't looked yet....hmmm maybe that gives me something to do on a lazy morning.....
