Does anybody know how to turn off the WindowsME startup logo?? Tried searching for the file call "Logo.sys" but couldn't find it under root dir.
I need to delete that away to speed up boottime.

Hello,

My Computer -> C: Drive (your boot drive) -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View

1. Check show hidden files or folders.
2. Uncheck hide protected operating system files.

Open your msdos.sys file with a text editor and change the line logo=1 to logo=0. That is a zero.

Hmm, the message when i open MsDos.sys with text editor is this :
[Paths]
WinDir=C:\WINDOWS
WinBootDir=C:\WINDOWS
HostWinBootDrv=C

[Options]
BootMulti=1
BootGUI=1
AutoScan=1
WinVer=4.90.3000

The rest of the code is xxxxxx....etc, but i dun see any "Logo=1" Line...

Just add the "logo=0" line under the "Options" heading and give it a whirl.

It should be at the very bottom. Was for my Windows ME msdos.sys.
