ahh, there is also another way....

zoom in with the binocs, then fire. You'll hear on the radio "firing for effect" then you'll see explosions. Not as powerful as the smoke grenades, but its good to clear out on top of the lower bunker where the axis usually shoot from when your trying to blow open the door.

edh - I agree with the faults you mentioned. I certainly hope the finished product is better. This game has a lot of potential and I hope the get it right.
