Clock settings? Like FSB or system speed?

Or were you looking fer updating yer clock?

Where have you checked?
What OS are you running? WinXP Home/Pro/MediaCenter Win2k/Pro WinME Win98/SE Win95 Win3.xx?
What have you tried so far?

Have you got drivers installed?
Who much RAM have you got?
If you're gaming, what graphics card do you have?

That setup shouldn't be slow.

when you start the pc and see the start screen does your BOIS show what size of CPU you have or does it show a different cpu.

for example if the fsb and multiplier are incorrect on my pc, if it resets to default, I get a amd 1600 when in reality its an amd 2600. that would be the first thing to check to see if the CPU is being recognized by default or if it actually sees your cpu and its speed. the next step would to be to adjust the multiplier and fsb speed in the BIOS. And i would definitely follow the suggestions previously mentioned for spyware/malware/virii

Well, it is showing the right cpu...
no spyware it is a clean system..
i got standard drivers and 512mb ram with a gf2 Ti pro that has never let me down..
i is running XP pro, and it is running @ 200 mhz.
It is running like a slub and my old XP2100 cpu was faster...
windows is saying that it is a 2.01gb and i think i can get more out of it..
all my attempts of over clocking has failed.. even the smallest increase in clock settings and it shuts down..

It might be a shit HDD, or it's worth bearing in mind that GeForce2 is a relic, so is going to suck hairy-donkey-cock at gaming.

Go into bios and set the cpu clock to 166mhz

166x2=332mhz

wait...why's it add up to 332? Rolling Eyes

166.6*2=333.2 depends on the significant digits and when you round the number.
