Team USA moves on to the semi-finals in the world cup of hockey! Nice work guys - if Canada doesn't win, I'd rather see it stay in north america, so this great!
Keith Tkachuk support the team with a four goal night.
Russia is out. |

From what I saw it looked like a good game. I caught part of the second period and the third period on ESPN2, and from seeing that I would have liked to see the entire game. It's always nice seeing a player from your hometown team do so well.
And sure, being American, I'm rooting for Team USA, but when it comes down to it, it doesn't matter as much to me who ends up winning the tournament. I'm enjoying watching hockey. |

Agreed. I'm happy that Canada is doing well, but if they lose, they lose, and the hockey has been great to watch.
I've always been a Tkachuk fan, and he brought his A game tonight. He is your prototypical power forward. Size, toughness, and finesse - its a tough combo to stop.
I'm unsure of how the tournament works, but from what I can see, Canada and USA will have to play each other in the semi-finals (assuming that Canada beats Slovakia in the quarters), not the finals. Thats a little dissapointing. I was looking forward to a rematch of the Salt Lake finals. |

I think for the semifinals both games are Europe vs. North America. The matchups depend on who wins Slovakia vs. Canada... I'm not 100% sure, but the commentators on ESPN2 keep talking about it. That rematch could be very possible. I think that'd be an amazing game. |

Well, Canada is currently smoking Slovakia 4-0. We'll see what happens. |

5-0 shutout, that was nuts. So now the semis are Finland @ USA and Czech Republic @ Canada. This is shaping up nicely, both should be good games to watch. |
