Thus far in the season, I remain totally unimpressed with your one-sided trade offers... You offer decent players for all-stars... You want someone's best pitcher on their team you are going to have to start growing some balls and give me something for my best pitcher... like maybe one of your best hitters... It's like you giving me a $5 bill for me giving you a $100 bill... I don't think so, buddy...
At least I offered up one of my best for two of your decents... I notice you have not accepted or rejected... of course that is ok with me though b/c one of the guys I have offered has hit 5 home runs since I made that offer...
sorry you feel that way. What positions would you like help in? I have an abundance of 2b's and starting pitching you can probably tell. In return I coudl use someone that can get me some saves without walking the park, and some young talent (post 1974 birth date, gotta stick to the team theme )
And gotta love that Manny, he seems to be giving ya lots of homers Even made the cover of SI this week (looks like he french kissed a light socket though) |

I'm looking to shake things up with my roster still.
Available for trade are Delgado, Halliday, and Green, looking for suitable offers. |

Hmm figured your roster was doing decent as you're nipping at my heels
I'll be havign a look although to be honest, I need more relief pitching than starting, i've got an overabundance of starters
Whoever heard of too much pitching |

A bit more activity, as managers start to clean out the dead wood and ingured players off there rosters
For the first tiem in over a month, we have a new leader of the pack. The Hucskters got back to their winning ways and knocked the upchuckers back into second, and everyone else back a few games as well.
Lets have a looks at the series from last week.
The Week that was
Last Time: SOuthsiders 12 vs Belleville Rednecks 8
This Time: Belleville Rednecks 11 vs Southsiders 8
Series Final: Southsiders 20, Rednecks 19
What can I say, the rednecks are red hot, havign taken their fourth series in a row. But the season series goes to the southsiders, by one point, talk about a close finish.
Last Time: QueBerts 11 vs Therapists 10
This Time: Therapists 11 vs QueBerts 7
Series Final: Therapists 21, QueBerts 18
The Therapists finally get a series win, taking advantage of a slumping Quebert team to take the win adn the season series as well.
Last Time: Nat-Attack 13 vs Konvicts 6
This Time: Nat-Attack 11 vs Konvicts 8
Series Final: Nat-Attack 24, Konvicts 14
The Nat-Attack just seem to have the Konvicts number this year, as they easily clinch the series win and move up a spot in the process to third, one of the few teams that did move up a position this week.
Last Time: Anubis Minions 10 vs c&c 8
This Time: Anubis Minions 12 vs c&c 8
Series Final: Minions 22, c&c 16
Another team on a tear, the minions also enjoy their fourth win in a row and take the season series handily from the c&c, who are slumping badly.
Last Time: up chuckers 14 vs bandits 5
This Time: bandits 12 vs up chuckers 8
Series Final: upchuckers 22, Rejects 17
In our upset of the week, the bandits take the win, and end the up chuckers reign as teh team to beat in the league, dropping to second as teh Hucskters zoom by.
Last Time: Hucksters 12 vs Rejects 6
This Time: Hucksters 16 vs Rejects 1
Series Final: Puckytown Hucksters 28 vs Rejects 7
The Hucksters must have been tired of second place, and took out their frustrations on the rejects, ebating them in the secodn msot lopsided score of the season and taking the top spot.
Well thats the news for this week, Tune in for more baseball action as the final series continue. :d |

hmmm ok I was way off on how the playoffs work:
Right now this is the way it woudl be if the playoffs started today (and not September 6th)
The up chuckers and Puckytown Hucksters get a bye
The Chucktown Nat-Attack (3rd) woudl go against the anubis minions (6th)
The Southsiders (4th) vs the Belleville Rednecks (5th)
In the consolidation bracket:
the Therpaists and the Queberts get a bye
The Roxboro rejects (9th) go against the Tyme Bandits (12th)
The c&c (10th) go agaisnst the K-Town Konvicts (11th) |
