their excuse is that it would be too hard to implement the "bullet time" feature (most crucial one) in a multiplayer environment

While we are on the topic of complaining... I would have liked to see a better implementation of crouching. You can't crouch and move, without bobbing up to standing height every move forward. If the SWAT-style guys can do their sweep crouch, we chould have been able to, too.
BUT I STILL LOVE THE GAME!!
...that is all.

i did find that really annoying. Like i would crouch behind a box to snipe a few guys, but if i try to creep out i would stand up, and they would know i was there. tisk tisk.

I don't usually play multiplayer, so that's not a problem for me. My biggest complaint is the fact that you can't shoot while in the air(Except for shoot dodges). If you jump, or walk off a ledge, you can't shoot until you land.

But dude - "Bullet Time" is proboably the most used feature with out a doubt in Max Payne - if you had multiplayer lets say 6 people or hell even two people, hhow can both players be in sync with each other when going into bullet time? ever second someone would be poping into and out of bullet time slowing down your gameplay while you just want to run across the screen -
I think the easiest way they could have done it is if the took bullet time out completly for multi-player - that would still be a cool game to play online... |

That part bothered me too. As for multiplayer, there are plenty of other multi-games that I can play... I guess. |

I didn't like the game either. It's good but the replay value is very low. More than that this game uses a engine(MaxFx) that uses m$ d3d only...ohh plz...I don't even wanna see any multiplayer option on that crap! |

don't get me wrong. I think the game is very good. In fact, the game is nothing short of amazing. The graphics are awsome, despite what u have to say about d3d. What were u looking for glide? please. I'm running the game on my tired old GF256 DDR and a PIII600. Its fine. Maybe a little chop when the rough gets going, but its by no means unplayable.
I am however extremely disapointed in the lack of multiplayer support. This was just like oni. Multiplayer is the reason that halflife is still played (ok ok, counterstrike, but remember, it is halflife). Multiplayer is the reason why UT and QIII are so popular. So much time was put into developing the engine that this one key element was over looked. IMHO.

I dunno why I get BAD fps in the game...my software comes faster than hardware
Software = 52fps (44 fps in big areas with thugs > 3) Game Settings = 640x480x32 4xFSAA all HIGH | filter triple buffer | antristopic or something.
So I think if it's a multiplayer the fps will go down more..opengl is the way to go :D
My spec amd 1.33ghz | 512 DDR | Asus 7700 Pro 64DDR |

There's your problem. You need to install the AGP mini-port driver. This will make a huge difference. The A7M266 is an AMD671 based board, right?? If so, download this file and install it. Hope that helps. Cheers.
