How do I get rid of Mandrake 8.0's OS selection screen??? Its really bugging me!

I think you should be able to do so from the Mandrake Control panel, under boot options. That gives you several options, and I think removal is one of them. But be careful to make a linux boot disk of some sort first!

Yesssssssss! THe LiLo screen! I don't want a startup screen like that what-so-ever. I DON'T WANT A SCREEN! Nothing, zilcho! I wanna put in da disk and boot that way!!

you use a bootdisk?

doesn't really matter

change the line

timeout=50

in /etc/lilo.conf

to

timeout=0

This will probably work

Don't you think that this alternation in the code would result in it starting Linux automatically (since there is no time to choose another OS)?
