The more I think about it the more I think it would be cool to do a live draft? I know it takes a while and what not, but its just as tedious to rank players and I think it would be cool to do a live draft. Couldn't we find a Saturday/Sunday Morning or afternoon that would work for everyone? So some week night? |

it does sound like a good idea, except that i'm also planning of advertising this at my workplace, which doing a live draft woudl be impossible (gotta love shift work)
If I dont get anyone from ehre though, we'll look into doing the live draft option, is there like a chat program as part of this forum or? |

it's going to be tough to organize a live draft with however many people, so keep us posted as to what time it's happening if it does. |

I realize that, but with a lot of notice we could try. Here's the thing. If I remember correctly, if you can't/don't come to the live draft it still picks based on your rankings so it would be no different if you didn't come.
I prefer a live draft because I don't like having to rank all the players and be able to make my own descisiosn when the time comes.
So in reality no one else has to be at the live draft besides me , so I was thinking that anyone that feels up to a live draft can plan a time to be there and it won't affect everyone else...... |

I'm game for live draft, but i'll have to send you my own rankings if I can't make it because I don't really like their rankings all that much... But 'll try to be there... just no late-nighters and weekday during the day is impossible. |

I concur, late ngihters and weekdays are defaitenly out for me
i'll have to look into that to see if the person isnt there during a live draft if they're selections are just done anyways or not. |

I held my own live draft in a chat room for my family and friends football league and we made a rule that if you were not there, you would get the highest available player going down the positions you needed... tedious work, but if you have some folks helping you it's a bit easier... Plus cell phones were used by some without computer access... which also made it easier... not sure if that's doable here... but just a suggestion. |

well we coudl scheduele it, right now we've got 11 teams now and they're al from this forum except one (he's a good friend of mine so that's not an issue)
From what I see you need to have a java enabled browser (so everyone with windows 95 will be out if they havnet upgraded in 9 years), cant be using AOL, and cant have a firewall, or so the site says. The easiest way to find out if this will work for your system is to click here |

well as you can tell i've added a poll to put it to a vote, persoanlly I'd liek to see a draft too, although it'd have to be on weekends for me
Also what does everyone think of havign the teams names in a location - teamname format, aka teh Minesota Twins, or the Toronto Tuts or whatever? jsut wodnering what the consensus is. |

I have always enjoyed live drafts, but it always hard to get everyone together. I am in. The taking of the highest ranking player if you can't make it is a good idea. |

I'm up for whatever anyone else decides on. I'm not gonna be the guy standing in the way. But I will need some help. Perhaps someone could msn me at some point, help me figure out what's going on. If I can't figure it out, I can just remove my team so the league can go on without me interrupting. |

I was lookning at the settings and I was just wondering why you have so many sarting positions? That's a lot of players to play everyday. It takes away some of the strategy when you can play so many. Maybe Dump those bottom two utility players? And add another C? A problem with cathcers is that thye don't paly everyday so in order to use games its hard. |
