I would just like to make a small observation. BSD has been around alot longer than Linux. It seems like the BSD community is now making a big deal about there OS since Linux has become a mainstream Enterprise solution. It almost seems like they feel they were left out of the loop and need to defend its position in the market. That is just my opinion.

Your opinion is very valid, I see evidence in the speed and frequency of updates to the 5.0 branch. It's almost like every other day I hop over to www.osnews.com and hear of a new RC release or final release (major/minor) from FreeBSD.
